Waxwing Bombycilla garrulus
Identification: Crested with a black mask and orange-buff plumage.
Information: Distribution: irruptive in winter when the berry crop has failed further east. When they first arrive, a favourite tree is the Kashmir Rowan. As the supply of berries from rowans and the like gets consumed, they move on to rose hips which they find harder to swallow.
