Four-spotted Chaser Libellula quadrimaculata
Identification: Spotted wings in flight for both sexes. Each wing has a black spot and a dark pterostigma. Hind wings have a dark base. Males have brown abdomens with a dark tip, females have an orange abdomen with a dark tip.
Information: Distribution: all of the British Isles. Late May to mid-August.
