Common Lizard Zootoca vivipara
Identification: Dark band with pale borders runs along the sides from snout to tail-tip. Male belly: yellow or orange with spots, female belly: unspotted dull yellow.
Information: Alternative name: Viviparous Lizard. Distribution: ommon and widespread throughout the British Isles.
Similar species: Sand Lizard is restricted to heathland and sand dune systems and Wall Lizard occurs at only a few scattered sites.
