Common Gull Larus canus
 
Identification: Smaller than the paler Herring Gull with thinner bill. Bill has no red on it and legs are green. Adults have black-tipped wings with large white blotches.
Information: Distribution: resident near the coast, spreading inland in winter.
Similar species: Herring Gull.
