Common Blue Damselfly Enallagma cyathigerum
 
Identification: Males have a lollipop shaped black mark on the second abdominal segment. Segments eight and nine are all blue. Females are variable in colour.
Information: Distribution: all of the British Isles. Late May to September.
Similar species: Azure Damselfly, Variable Damselfly.
