Black-tailed Godwit Limosa limosa
Identification: Long legs and long straight bill. Winter plumage uppers are grey-brown. In flight distinctive white wing-bar and black tail-band. In summer orange neck and breast and barred flanks.
Information: Distribution: uncommon breeder in East Anglia, scarce passage migrant and winter visitor; mainly to estuaries.
Similar species: Bar-tailed Godwit.
